Sustainability Victoria

Campaign: Love Food, Hate Waste, Love a List
Date: 2018

The behaviour:

Victorian families typically waste one in four bags of grocery shopping and about $50 per week.

The change:

We identified an easy-to-do specific food planning behaviour – make a weekly shopping list and stick to it – and had comedian Cal Wilson visit three real families as they undertook four weeks of meal planning and writing a list before shopping.

We inspired a movement to reduce food waste and generated the equivalent of a $4.97 benefit for every $1 invested by government and households.
